Ola Lindgren

(b. 1981, Västerås) is a Swedish artist and designer living and working in Gothenburg. Rooted in a professional background in typography and graphic design, his artistic practice moves beyond the page, into space, surface, and time, where language becomes matter and messages are shaped through weight, texture, and rhythm. His work unfolds through visual and spatial installations, objects, printmaking, and performance, often blurring the line between the seen and the sensed.

After years spent working in the vibrant city of Malmö and the post-industrial rural landscapes of Bergslagen, Lindgren settled in Gothenburg in 2021 to complete his MFA degree at HDK-Valand – Academy of Art and Design. In recent years, his practice has deepened into a space of critical reflection and exploration. Drawing on themes such as deep time, energy, and the political and existential tensions of the present, his work seeks to hold complexity and to make visible what often remains unsaid or unseen.
